Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas is the newest celebrity grandmother on the block.
The 53-year-old TLC singer’s son Tron Austin announced the birth of his baby girl, Lua, on Saturday in an Instagram post.
The musician shared images of his wife Jeong Ah Wang and their newborn daughter at a hospital in Seoul, South Korea.
“On this day March 2nd, 2024 at 1:59pm 6.173 LBS/2.8kg an angel from heaven was born our beautiful daughter LUA婁娥) we are officially parents !!” he began his caption.
Baby Lua came earlier than expected, and the new mom underwent “an emergency C section,” Austin revealed in the caption.
“Our nerves were high and our anxiety was through the roof but despite all of that she powered through and gave birth to a healthy beautiful baby girl!!” he added. “I am so beyond proud of her bravery and courage to do this so off guard.”
The happy pappy said the couple, who began dating in 2018, are “eternally grateful to say we have officially started our family!”
Austin, 26, and Wang’s bundle of joy was delivered amid a difficult year-and-a-half fertility journey.
In September when announcing they were expecting on Instagram, he revealed his wife endured a miscarriage and went through multiple medical procedures, including hernia and appendicitis surgeries, one egg retrieval and one hysteroscopy.
“I am in awe of your efforts and I am blessed and honored by Jesus himself to begin this journey with you,” Austin – whose father is 1990s hitmaker Dallas Austin — praised his wife.
There was no immediate comment from Thomas.
