How to manage Web Notifications
Stay on top of the news all day with the New York Daily News’ web notifications. We’ll let you know — right in your web browser — when there’s big breaking news happening, and also share our editors’ top picks so you see the best of what the Daily News has to offer.
In Safari:
- Change the Safari Permissions
- Go to the Safari menu and select Preferences.
- Select Websites.
- Click Notifications in the left menu pane.
- The right side of the window contains a list of the sites that asked for permission to send you notifications.
In Chrome:
- On your computer, open Chrome.
- At the top right, click More. Settings.
- Click Privacy and security Site Settings. Notifications.
- Select the option that you want as your default setting.
- Block a site: Next to “Not allowed to send notifications,” click Add.
In Firefox:
- Go to the browser menu and select “Settings.”
- On the left, click on “Privacy & Security.”
- Scroll down to the “Permissions” window, and select “Notification.”
- If you want to disable notifications, check “Pause notifications until Firefox restarts.” Notifications will not appear until you restart Firefox.
In Edge:
In Edge
- Go to Settings and more in the upper right corner of your browser window.
- Select Settings > Cookies and site permissions and select Notifications.
- Under Allow, you will find a list of websites that are currently sending you notifications.
- Select the three dots next to the website from which you want to stop receiving notifications and select either Remove or Block.
