A 24-year-old woman was killed early Friday in a one-car crash in Queens in which the driver appeared to be speeding, police said.
Two other women — the 26-year-old driver and a 32-year-old passenger — were rushed to the hospital, their conditions not immediately clear.
The Mercedes-Benz was cruising southbound on the Cross Island Parkway at 3:20 a.m. near the Linden Boulevard exit in Cambria Heights.
Police said the driver crashed into a guardrail and that the luxury car then overturned. The rear of the car was destroyed. The windshield was smashed and the roof ripped off.
The victim was taken to Long Island Jewish Valley Stream Hospital but could not be saved. One survivor was treated at the same hospital and the other was taken to Jamaica Hospital.
