An 81-year-old man was found dead in his Bronx home Wednesday after an electrocution accident, police said.

He was discovered in the home at the corner of E. 194th St. and Decatur Ave. in Fordham about 9:45 a.m., cops said.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and had burn marks on his finger, though it wasn’t immediately clear how he was electrocuted.

A 911 caller told the dispatcher the man was a handyman who liked to fix things around his house.

“He would sweep up his yard and keep it clean,” said Dean McLean, who lives on the block. “I noticed yesterday it was getting messy.”

The man spent a lot of his time outside in his yard, according to the neighbor.

“He’s a good man, he never bothered me,” said McLean. “He seemed like he was very handy with things and was attentive to his yard.”

The man’s name was not immediately released.
