A 66-year-old has been arrested for her alleged role in a hit-and-run Monday night that left the driver of a minibike dead, Connecticut authorities said.
Judith Kostek, of Enfield, is charged with evading responsibility resulting in death, according to multiple reports.
Enfield police said the incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Route 190 at Water Street, near Hazard Avenue, local television station WFSB reported.
The victim, who had not been identified, was on a mini motorcycle, when the bike was hit by a minivan. The driver of the van fled the scene shortly after the crash.
Authorities said CPR was administered to the motorcyclist, but the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly before 10 p.m., police arrested and charged Kostek for her alleged role in the crash, authorities said.
A section of Route 190, from Water Street to Glen Arden, was closed for several hours.
The incident is being investigated by the Enfield Police Department Traffic Division, NBC Connecticut reported.
